# Free CASA SMS Compliance Check (Part 119 + Part 138)

> CASA requires every Australian Part 119 air transport operator (charter, RPT, medical transport - Part 121/133/135 operations; CASR 119.190) and certain Part 138 (aerial work) operators to submit their SMS procedures and nominate a safety manager by **1 September 2026**, with the SMS implemented and the safety manager accepted by CASA by **1 December 2026** (operators cannot legally continue operating from 2 December 2026 without meeting these, absent a granted extension).
